Just curious if anyone had any ideas or pics of there gmc/chevy truck doors and how they put there components in for best sound

i have 6.53 boston pros in my 2004 but there just mounted into the door panels like the stock ones were im sure im not getting the sound i should be outta them any ideas would be great .

i have an 2000 Chevy silverado and i was looking for ideas but i couldn't find any other than that guys but i don't think you'll notice to much difference between stock and that. just put them in the stock location and do these door treatments.

deaden the doors, maybe a 1\2" wood baffle and some modeling clay around\under that for a bit more deadening?

also cover the deadener with some ensolite foam to block out road noise.

cant really use the baffles in the stock locations just wont work out right .

but i do like the way the sound domain guy did his them look awsome. thanks for the responses .

I think im gonna just buy some kicks for the 4" mid and tweets then just put the woofer in the door by itself .

just seems like such a waste of money buying decent speakers and not having them sound good buy deadening the doors .

and i think if i put the mid and tweets in the kicks facing up itll sound so much fuller.

i hope lol

I have pics...of an 04 silverado door. I just deadend the hell out of it and did what req said I used a 5/8" baffle and then sealed the baffle off. Ill go look for my pics

Cool ...this thread is of definite interest for when I install the comps in my truck. Was just going to dynomat ..looks like the dynomat on it's own won't be enough..

i bellieve they are mounted behind the factory grill just above the mid.
