picked up a mojo 15 today,,questions

got a mojo 15, has the 4 spoke basket. does not have the m's cast into the basket. sticker on motor says,,,mojo-15....wo:15564m....4902

question is does any one know when these were made, are recones readilly available, and does anyone have any specs for these? box sizes and port info?

any help would be greatly appreciated

recones are not readily available, i used to have one, the site with the specs i used is down.

easiest thing to compare it to is the old IA DP 15" its almost the same exact thing specs and all.

Well as for specs I know they are rated for 1krms, but will take a hell of alot more.

I would reccomend 4 cubes tuned at 33hz box wise.

Is the sub a quad 1?

it is dual 2, just got done checkin it with my diggy multimeter. i was told they were 2000rms

lucky bastard, the d2 were harder to come by.

id say 4-5 cubes @ 34-40

(i was a fan of 40ish, gave a pretty even response curve considering it was meant to be a spl sub)

yeah, when my buddy called and said his brother had a mojo 15 dual 2 to trade for my ma audio 12's,,,, i drove to his house as fast as my truck would go!! LOL he coldnt build a box big enough in his lil arse trunk, and my 12's in the box fit so he traded! i figured i did good!

and yes this will be used in a daily driven vehicle. i have a ext cab full sized gmc. will be 95% daily 5% local comps(if any). have 2000rms at 1 ohm amp, will this sub take it?

should take it, as long as you have your gains set accordingly

those subs can take a good 3000wrms so I know they will handle the sdx2000A. have fun that should be a loud combination

very very lucky pick up on the mojo man, had a buddy who had one and he was throwing around 1600-1900wrms at it daily in a 4ft^3 box at 35 hz. Had it in a 92 jeep cherokee and man did it sound good.
