I was wondering if their was anyone on these boards that are into photography? Well for those that print their own pictures I wanted to know what is a pretty good printer to get, that comes ready to go out of the box?

I currently have an epson r800 and its pretty impossible to use. Im having a rough time trying to match the my print colors to that colors in photoshop CS3. The prints are rediculously dark. Ive been reading on alot of forums and it seems about 70% of the users are having this problem, maybe it isnt a user error? Anyways, suggestions on a new printer would be good

No never went through with it. Got a cannon S3 IS from my grandpa and am starting to get into photography. But its pretty **** hard to get good prints off my r800. And am wondering if theirs a high end printer that is good to print out of the box, or with minimal effort

Yea, im not too sure about HP's, never used one except for printing documents. I was gearing t'ward a Cannon or a better epson.
