Just curious as to what you guys think of this amp. I know Pheonix Gold has a good rep - at least they did 10-15 years ago. I picked one up from a friend of mine for $300 used. Looks new. I'm thinking it might be a little much for my Infinity components (reference). Anyhow, post your opinions!

Thanks! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

anyone?

ive never owned one but they are highly regarded among PG fanboys. Not like MS1000 high..but nice amps. Even if the amp really is pristine, i dont think you got a great deal...but you didnt really get ripped off either.

head over to this forum and see what you can find..its where a lot of the people from the old PG forum post now..including a few PG employees.

Those are well built amps. I had one with two channels running stereo and the other two bridged to a 1.5ohm load for several years with no problems. (It isn't rated to be stable that low.) I doubt it will be too much for your Infinity comps. It should run them well.

Appreciate the feedback guys!

Those amps are really well built. Made straight from the US. I owned one, and was selling it, till i sold it few days ago for 250 shipped. Overall, it's a great amp and shouldn't let you down. They are also great, if you want to power subs.

Thanks for the info. I better tell my friend to knock off a couple bucks. I plan on using it on my mids/highs. I've got a Memphis 1000D on my subs. Had it powering 2 12" W6v2 (1100 watts RMS @ 1 ohm), but have since bought a Z. Threw some Image Dynamics in and have em running at 2 ohms (600 watts RMS). So I'm good in the sub department. Now that I have this ZX475, I'm entertaining the idea of getting some Image Dyanmics Chamealeon (sp). separates. Just don't know if I'll need such high end speakers for such a small car. Hope the Infinity reference components do ok.

$300 is fair deal if its in Mint Condition Cosmetically. I have seen them go for lower but usually they are scatched or rusty, the $250 one above fits that description.

Yea, I grabbed that picture off ebay. The one I have is flawless, it looks new. Came with box, instructions, warranty card....the works. Im still gonna ask for a discount...lol. Can't wait to put that bad boy in. Still waiting on my radio. **** bose in my car sux. Gotta have the speakers and radio at the same time to improve sound. Factory speakers are 2 ohms, so replacing it with 4 ohm speakers wouldn't do sh*t and replacing just the radio is asking for trouble cuz you'd be running the head unit at 2 ohms.
