anyone have a phoenix gold amp...how is the quallity of phoenix gold i always heard good things but is it a good amp? is it clean sounding? lemme know im lookin at the phoenix gold octane15.0:1 and runnig it to a alpine type x at 1000 rms will this sound clean.

octane is PG's lowest line and is not rated @ RMS but peak power...kinda seems shady. I dont know much about it, but i do like the xenon line..check out the xenon 1200.1 its 1200 watts RMS @ 1-4 ohm.

750 Watts max @ 4 ohm

1500 Watts max @ 2 ohm

i read this from a couple diff. sites...is this not true it dosent puch 1000watts rms at 2ohms

Yes it does do the 1000 rms. I beleive he was talking about it saying 1500 max. The other PG lines are rms ratings not max

well is this a good clean sounding amp i dont know much about pheonix gold i thought they are good amps, and what about the MA Audio HK2000D is MA audio a good brand i just want somthing clean and powerful around the price range of these amps. i know a guy that lives aroung me he has that MA audio amp on a 12' W7 and it sounds like crap...but he has a jensen deck on it i think thats got a lot to do with it he seems like a dummy when it comes to car audio.

pg's pretty good.

some lines are better than others but i think pg for the most part is a good company

Iv'e read somewhere if you have enough voltage the MA amps work good. They look cheap to me though.

Ma Audio amps are pretty good but they do rated power at higher voltage and the PG octane should be fine for the Type X.
