How do the amps in this series fair? I know PG isn't top notch or anything, but are these amps decent for the money?
So anotherwords pg is crap?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif These amps are overbuilt, and better than most on the market imo. They make tons of power, and at a great price, and are very reliable. Top notch amps? Absolutely! This is coming from the owner of some old school m series amps.. They sound the same..How do the amps in this series fair? I know PG isn't top notch or anything, but are these amps decent for the money?
The quality of PG Xenon should not be confused with that of the PG Ryval crap. The Xenons are from before the 'PG Reformation', and the Ryvals came after, as a replacement for the Octane lines -- and for some reason they chose to rate them with MAX specs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gifHow do the amps in this series fair? The rsds came over pg was bought out, but they are excellent amps aswell.. Sound the same as any other old school pg amp ive had.. As for the ryvals, im willing to bet you havent even heard them. The ryval line is far better than the octane ever was. Having owned and tested both, the ryval line hands down is a clear winner... So refering to the before and after the merger is pretty pointless. They were bought by an owner of the stock, so still the same people. Great products, but just no real highend products yet. Maybe soon to come though. The quality of PG Xenon should not be confused with that of the PG Ryval crap. The Xenons are good isht... the x600.1 is known to put out closer to 800W RMS, so it will work well with your SE.
So why the need for MAX ratings? That kind of crap should be saved for the likes of Legacy and Power Acoustik. The rsds came over pg was bought out, but they are excellent amps aswell..
