PG MS275 vs. RF 800a4

Hi guys,

Help me out if you can. I am setting up a system in my boat. I will be running 2 sets of polk db components (4ohms per side per set). I currently have a ms275 sitting around (and an mps2240 for that matter) and my question is....would I be better off purchasing something like a RF 800a4 (4x100 @ 4ohm) or just run my components all off the PG (2x140 @ 2 ohm)? Would I notice a power difference?

no u wont notice much power difference..but why spend more money on another amp when you have one that is capable of what u need.

WOW Thanks for the quick replies.......

Guess my question is.....if I was to use an 800a4 watt amp, each speaker "sees" 100 watts, therefore 400 watts total. What is the total that each speaker "sees" when using my ms275 (or what would the total system power be)?
