I put down both my great Danes about a month ago. They were 3 and very co-dependant. One was ready to kill anything at anytime. My neighbor's wife is pregnant so with a soon to be toddler around, we didn't feel it was a safe situation. Nobody wants a 2 big dogs that can't be around children (they never did anything to person. we just didn't trust one of them) or other animals.
You couldn't maybe find a suitable owner(s)? Putting down a 3 year old dog is like putting down your 16 year old kid because he is staying out all night.

they would have to go as a pair. 2 males (litter mates). they killed anything with a heart beat that wasn't an adult. We never tested them around kids. They ate cats (fur and all on 4 occations I know of), ran down a 400lbs calf and had it down. One was on its head the other pulling its back leg when I got them off. I found remains of sparrows that they caught. I guess the didn't like feathers. They would have loved to fight any dog that crossed their path (they were leash broke and obeyed on a walk but it was there). It was nice to be confident that if an intruder broke in the house they would literally eat them. If heard them attacking somebody in the night. I would probably just go back to bed and call the cops in the morning after they got their fill.

One bit me once, when I fell asleep petting the other. I honestly believe he was just surprise attack the other and my hand just happened to be on his neck.

I don't know anybody that would want a pair of dogs that eat 50lbs of dog food ever 6 days, that can't be around kids or other animals, and have to have a 6ft fense that it electicaly charge.

One was nice and wasn't "that" aggressive. He joined in the fun when the other lead. He was so co-dependant on the mean one, he wouldn't been able to function. He would tear the house apart if walked them seperately. They literally never spent more than 30 minutes apart in their lives.

I found these little kittens under my porch one day. I think their mom must have got hit by a car because they were pretty skinny. I have them inside now with the other cats but they're still pretty shy. They have some really cool markings I've never seen before.

NO **** dude, thats terrible. Killing off a dog just because? Where the fuck do they even allow you to do that

those are the most adorable kittens ive ever seen. what breed?

i have Tank, 120lbs american bulldog, abby 40lbs fawn boxer, and Buster 60lbs all white boxer.
Nice, I have an ambull too. Great dogs. Johnston type I believe with the longer snout(not sure though he was a stray rescue)

120lbs for any bull breed seems like toooo much.. is he a little fat? Mine is like 65-70lbs but he's lean and cut like a mofo

i bet those boxers are like having little kids.. so much energy.

It *****, but I don't like pawning my problems off on other people. When you don't trust a dog to not go after your neighbors kid. The liablity is too much.

I grew up in town but we owned a half section with cattle. My mother loved animals so we always had random pets around the house. goats, rabbits, cats, dogs, a couple ducks. They all die sometime. enjoy the time you have with them but if they can't earn their keep or their liablity outways their benefit, you get rid of them. By earn their keep I mean you own an animal for a reason. Cattle have to have calves so you can sell them. If they don't get pregnant, sell them. Why feed them for another year when you could be giving the feed to a profitable cow. If you have a hunting dog that won't hunt, get rid of it. A pet dog for a companion needs to stick around. IF they won't stay in the fence, they aren't being your companion. Get rid of them.

I put them down quick. I didn't make them suffer. I just did it myself instead of paying a vet. I don't see what the big deal is. There are plenty of dogs in the world. I had a mastiff that a dumb but sweet. My job started requiring that I work 10-16 hour days 7days week so she got lonely and wouldn't stay in the yard. I did give her to a good home. But her problem was a lack of company that could be remedied. These were just mean. I did think about giving them to a pig hunter. They would have made great kill dogs but they were too old to train to only chase pigs. They would have killed the other dogs, skunks, coons, opossiums, or cattle; basicly what ever they saw.

Boxers are so great! Like I said, I got this guy when he was 6 months old. He was rescued from somewhere he had no food, water, and a 3 foot chain he lived at the end of. I have icky pics of him from the humane society where he is skin and bones with sores. just look at him now!
