Performance Teknique.... ??

ok, so i'm a dumbass when it comes to car audio. i just went to circuit city to have my performance teknique ICBM 774 hooked up to my 2 10" JL W3's and the guy basically says that my amp is shit. he said that it was made for door speakers not for subs, but its a 4 ch. bridgeable amp....

so the bastard talks me in to buying an MTX 1200 watt, class D, mono ch. amp.

is the MTX really better, or did i get ****ed over?

For once, a guy from circuit city is correct. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Crap.

Not necessarily MADE for door speakers, it's just not a good quality amp. You'll be lucky to get half the rated power out of it.

The MTX he sold you is a MUCH, MUCH better amp.

Performance Tek is one of the "American Hifi" brands -- it's a sibling to such legendary companies as American Pro, Volfenhag, Rockwood, Phoenix Digital, DHD, Koiiler...

MTX is a quality amp, no matter how you slice it -- the others, not so much.

You traded in a metro for a...um...grand prix //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
