Hi there...

first off, sorry for asking this, as I should know better. I've been reading everything I can for about the past week, usually for 2ish hours a day. I just got a 2000 sunfire (laugh away) for my first car and I love it. I feel lost..i'm so confused.

I don't know what to do for the system however...

For $220+shipping I can get two *new* never installed Infinity Perfect 12.1ds

With what amp..I don't know yet, I have absolutely no idea.

On the other hand, I could get a single RL-p (Don't know whether it would be a 12" or 15" yet) powered by a nine.1 amp.

I would want to face them towards the front/cabin so I could pull down the rear seat whenever I wanted. Is that even a wise idea?

Any input would be appericated, and i'm sorry for asking.

EDIT: I'm still using the stock alternater, but would be willing to do the big three upgrade. I just dont want the lights to dim.

I don't know what the stock Sunfire alternator is, but more than likely the nine.1 will **** your electrical system pretty hard. I have a Mustang with a 140-amp stock alt (compared to 75-100 for most other companies, excluding SUVs and large trucks) and the nine.1 makes my lights dim slightly at night when I'm not running at 1800+ RPM.

Anyway, I don't know what your budget is, but if you're going for strictly sound quality, I'd get the Infinities and find an amp that puts out ~600-800w RMS. If you want it to get a little loud, I'd go for the RL-p. I've never personally heard one, but they've been getting good reviews as SQL drivers. You could go with an amp that puts out ~1000w RMS at 1 ohm for the RL-p. When looking at amps, try to find a solid class D amp with good efficiency if you're worried about your electrical system.
