i hate pennicle also. Our school tried to use it and they were having the same problems with 1394 that you are.

So i got them to switch to adobe premiere and they love it.

we got it to work. for us its bad *** cuz well.......its basic and we want it for simple shit....not film school. lemans.....dont be gay

lol man, i'm not being gay. it's just that i make short films and i've tried everything from final cut on mac to windows stock...and i hate pinnacle because for what you get it is horribly overpriced and gives you no control over anything. i personally use the sony vegas series. if u want somethin cheap, go with the ULEAD series...they **** pinnacle studio 9. however...liquid is excellent.
