Peel and Seel

Silver your a freakin ****. You prolly looked like a ****in goof in the building department telling guys you wanna use the stuff to stop rattles in yer car.

Dont come on here trying to act like your better then them.

Also your gif animations are hella annoying.

I dunno why you guys buy P&S when products like raammat and brownbread end up being cheaper...

P&S is definately not the same as car audio deadener.. similiar but not the same...

No, I meant assaulted.

It's for people who don't like to do it correctly the first time. It's for people who always settle for "good" or "close" enough.
I think it works fine, and I can't see how one product, aside from possibly being 'more sticky' and heavier could be any better than another.

Alright *******. They asked what I was using it for. So I told them. I also told them that I didn't want to spend assloads on dynomat or "tsunami" sound deadner.

Don't get all offended because I wanted to know if they had it. They just gave me retarted looks on their faces. I never said I was better. Dicklicker.

Sorry if you don't like my gifs almighty god.

I want peel and seal because I THOUGHT it be easy to find. Ends up.. Lowe's doesn't have it either. I even went to the roofing and still. Nothing. Plus, all the positive feedback I got on this thread makes me want to save money and get some.

Anyways, I don't give a f*ck if its not the same as "true" sound deadner. I just want something that does the job and looks fine.

Well if it works fine and gets rid of the rattles, then whats the problem. Cheif? I'm sorry but I'm no where near the "ghetto-rigger". Just saving my shallow wallet. Close to or more than half in this thread say its fine and it works good. So what if it isn't classified as a sound deadner. Hell, if i could smear my shit on my trunk and have it smell like roses that be fine. I don't show my equipment off. Ever.

do you mean insulted? i thought i heard ED bought that stuff in bulk from a roofing company and called it sound deadener?
It is very likely true that the first batches of edead v1 was P&S, but Ben claims what is being shipped currently is an entirely seperate product, he steps around giving any detailed explaination though. "Sound deadener" is really nothing more than mass you add to panels to stop vibrations, nothing too complicated, getting it to sick well is the trickiest part.

Another low cost alternative is rubberized undercoating. A few bucks a can and sprays on. Doesn't get much easier than that. I have talked to a few people who have used it with pretty good results.

Back when Cascade had a spray deadener that was grey in color (not the black stuff they have now) This stuff was alot better than what they have now. Anyway I read some reviews of the stuff that it worked great but water or moisture could make it fail. Kinda like water soluble. So I went and bought some rubberized undercoating and sealed all the Cascade deadener with it. It has been in there for 3+ years now and when I had my door skins off last weekend I inspected them and both the inner and outer panels were just fine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Obviously none of them have experienced TRUE sound deadener/dampener. They can't compare it to anything that is better...because they're too wrapped up in cutting corners.

Dude,we get it. You are the supreme being in car audio, However,

The orignal poster was searching for a cost effective way to accomplish some level of sound damping the panels in his car. What is wrong with helping him explore those options. Not everyone can,or may not have the desire to, purchase the most expensive stuff out there just because some markedting department says we should. It has already been posted that some of the original products marketed as damping materials were susspected of being nothing more than roofing materials, and that questions about the product are still answered vaguely. Any weight added to a panel will change its resonant frequency. That was the original concept for soud deadening products.
