I have heard of people using this as sound deadener, and looking to do some deadening on the cheap for my van.

They sell rolls of 6" x 25' for 13.68 at my local Lowes.

My questions are

Is this an adequate cheapo sound deadener?

How many rolls do you think I would need to do my doors and back lift gate on my villager?

Does this stuff smell after installation?

I heard its okay to use on the floor of the car or the floor of the trunk, but it doesnt seem to stick too well (ie doors and trunk top). But u can use it, its just not recommeneded.

i did half my trunk with it and could tell a difference. it didnt smell for me but doesnt stick the best, gotta use a heat gun to get it really on there
