PDX vs. Xenon

What I know...

The Alpines are smaller and more efficient, but the Xenons are a little more flexible (1-4 ohms vs. 2-4 ohms). They are both under-rated by about the same amount, but the Xenons are less expensive.

personally you should buy donpisto's pdx since ive seen them 1st hand and they are very efficient amps

pdx all the way. i have two and looking to pick up at least two more for sub duty

i have a zenon and its great except its way less hidable than a pdx. if you only need 1000 or so watts id say pdx.

PDX they are much smaller..However i have owned xenon's and they are absolute power brutes.. Loved those too!

I was looking at either the PDX 4.100 & 1.600 or the Xenon 100.4 and 600.1... same power either way.

Money is a little tight, that's why I started looking at the Xenons. I should be able to pick up this combo for $100-$150 less.

yes all the same end...the pdx's are stackable, not sure what kind of install ur shooting for but just throwing it out there..

But honestly either way your not gonna notice a difference in power, sound, etc...just get whichever ones you feel more comfortable with

yeah, the xenon 100.4 and 600.1 have all connections on one side. The 1200.1 has an extra set of power.ground.remote inputs...

I love my Xenon's, I have 100.4 and 1200.1

Unless you are concerned with space, I see no need to spend extra money on the alpines. When I had my 200.2, the birthsheet read 480 watts. Ide wager to say the xenons put out a little more power, probably not audible though.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna try to get my hands on the Xenons. While the 600.1 is still easy to find, the 100.4's are becoming a little hard to find. We'll see what happens.

I like em both.....I have a set of Xenons(100.4 & 600.1 ironically) and I love them. I even had Towncars 200.2 once upon time. I think they are the best choice because they are substantially cheaper.

I do like the look and size of the PDXs more though.
