i had something on my computer about an hour ago, one of those Antivirus 2009 (similar style) bullshit viruses. ran McAfee and was gone within a couple minutes.

I would consider their attempt a FIAL

It's still there. You have to download and run Malwarebytes anti-malware and google the instructions on how to remove it from the other like 10 places it might be. I've dealt with that shit far too many times.

is this the one where it pops up "click here to scan your PC" or some dumb shit? i had that, and AVG annihilated it.

As I said in my very first post download malwarebytes and run it.

As for what turdfegustion was saying yes your normal anti virus software are NOT going to find this you need to download malwarebytes to find it. these new kinds of virus will not be found because there not using "normal" virus threads. So for the 3rd time download malwarebytes and run it. Also it will not turn off your computer for the 3rd time as well no one knows what tis doing.

WHEW!! it's glad to be back! Man, i've been being forward to ROE for almost 12 hours now. I've had to read about noob questions over and over for hours, and man lemme tell you - it was a nightmare. had to re-install windows xp again. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware FTW. But don't try and use a pirated version of this program. The free version works just as good without the real time protection (plus they catch pirated versions pretty quick through updates.)
