I am new to selling stuff( online ) and i have a couple of questions on how it all works woth a few different things, this also could be in the wrong section bu t i dont know, anyway's... I was wondering how well paypal has worked for all you guys who use it and what are the pro's and cons of it.. Also, how do USPS money orders work, when sent to canada( where i live ) and the whole works... also, i have a comp that i was about to sell, but the buyer did not want to release the funds until i sent it, is this the way to do the transaction... any input is much and very appreciated..

Paypal is a third party buying/selling company that makes transactions safer and easier. You give them your personal information, and they handle the money transaction so you don't have to give an untrusted source your information and risk identity theft. And if you do get screwed over, in some cases they can get you your money back (especially when using eBay).

There really are no disadvantages really, except that the seller has to pay a 3% fee for any transactions. But the system is an instant, secure, and reliable way to pay.
