Paypal secure if sold through craigslist?

My laptop that I have for sale on here I decided to throw it up on craigslist, I know about the scams where they send you a fake MO or one of the other ones. What about a paypal payment though. I know they can say they never got the item so I would use UPS or FEDEX and have it insured for the full amount. But is this a smart move? I am getting a little more than I asked for but thats for shipping. Not like 2-300 more, one told me 500 shipped the other 550 shipped and thats with insurance. I did put 400 obo, still kind of unreasonable prices. Thoughts....decent opinions?

if its an online transaction, paypal is as safe as it's gonna get. ship with delivery confirmation and insurance through UPS or FedEx, just not USPS. you should be fine.

you posted OBO, if someone is willing to pay more for it, then what you worried about?

anyways as far as paypal goes. they should cover it since the transaction is going through paypal just like a normal internet transaction. so you should be safe...or as safe as you can get using paypal lol

Thats the thing, obo is normally lower than asking price not higher. I haven't heard of to many scams using paypal so just checking if anyone has heard of it.

or best offer means...the best offer takes it, whether its lower or higher.

if they offer you more then it means they are comfortable spending that amount of money.

use paypal. once you get the cash, IMMEDIATELY start a transfer to your bank account. once the money is out of your paypal account they cant take it from you, from what ive read.
