has anyone had problems with paypal?

well my reason to ask is that.

i sold my kicker amp and 2 orion amps for 1Grand, and well 2 days ago i recieved a email saying that a chargeback has been filled, well i check what it is, but the creidt card company that it was paid by was saying that they never recived anything or know anythign about it, well i have 4-6 emails and phone # of the guy who bought it and i personally meet the person and he persoanlly picked it up, so that is it, now i have a -1045$ in my paypal. and "I AM NOT" going to loose "MY" money and my amps. so i went ahead and checked my bank accoutn # that paypal has and my credit cards, and I called them up and cancelled my credit cards and changed my bank accounT #.

paypal gives you the opportunity to dispute the charges. If you can provide reasonable doubt in their minds, they can reverse the charges again, but it's difficult once the time allotted has passed. I had almost the same thing happen to me, but as soon as they file, paypal sends you an email saying that charges have been disputed, and you have so many days to respond. I wrote them back, giving a valid tracking number, and they dropped the whole thing.

it wasnt a scam email, because how would his account say negative money if it was a scam??but that happned to me when i sold my stereo system for 500 bucks.....they gave me a neg 500 to the account and i called and called and they never did shit to help me dispite my giving them tracking number and proof of purchase shippind date etc......i was lucky that the person that bought it wasn't an ******* because they ended up just seding me a moneyorder...paypal sucks....but i have to use them

I have wondered about someone pulling a scam like that, since you have no proof of shipment...did you make em sign anything?

naw.. i should of have. but i got his license plate# on teh truck, and his # which i turned over to paypal. with pictures of everything. this person was on ebay abot had a 100% feedback with 6 people. all had nice things.

ill tell you right now that if you dont have a verified account and/ or the billing address wasnt verified, then u lost your money, unless the person is willing to pay you again in another way.......paypal put me in this same situation as i said and they kept making excuses.....

Looks like the paypal account wasnt the buyers. It says unauthorized which in my mind means exactly that.

no not necessarily jntar....unauthorized in my case meant that the funds taken from the buyers bank "bounced"...aka unsufficient funds
