Hey all. Well im finally breakin down and setting up a paypal, but i have no idea how this really works.

first off, online shopper account or casual account? The most i'll be doing is just buying/selling on here, maybe ebay occasionally.

is it pretty much a way to access a debit/credit card of yours or something lol? i sound retarded dont i? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

i had to go to the premere account because i was over the 300 limit, i got a debit card for my paypal account and can recive any amount, but they get 3% just be careful whom you take money from and where you ship to .. just a lil off the top...

It's pretty simple. Takes a couple times of using it to really figure out how it works.

I have mine set up to my bank account. I am pretty sure you can set it up to a debit/credit card.

That's just so they can verify your identity and a means of withdrawing or depositing money.

whats the 300 limit? transactions? and i only have one debit card and no credit cards lol. is it a bad idea to use that for paypal if its my only card?

i dont have my cc on paypal only my debit card and its used as my backup funding as much as $2000

and i have my bank account linked to paypal as well which is mandatory

so all paypal is, is a connection to your bank account to make safe internet transactions? thats its sole purpose? im not gonna be locked into any rules here am i lol? the issue is im buying some parts for my truck at warehouse pricing because of overstock, but the me and the guy both wanna not be ripped off, so we agreed on paypal. We're both new to it though.

youre safer with paypal than with personal checks, or money orders, you still have shipping issues but thats what shipping insurance is for and paypal is protection if you dont recive items or there not as described. but you can still loose a honest claim.. but its safe id have to say 89%of the time

but there are them people out there that know how to beat paypal and the people whom use it
