wow just did some research it IS illegal for merchants in california to charge a surcharge for credit card use!
fucking chevron and those **** arabs in downtown charging exra for using a credit card!!!!

It is because they are not charging you more for using a credit card but less for paying with cash, that is legal. If you notice, the price for fuel paid for with credit will be the same price as the gas station down the street. They are just discounting the fuel only if paid for with cash.
