i just called paypal and they said that he cannot keep both. but i dont know what the chances are. he could be sending me a both full of newspaper and give that confirmation number to paypal.
so my paypal account is negative, if i were to leave it like that, i was told that the collective agents were gonna come after me, just something i didnt know.

Yep, just watch the video in the post I made above. Same shit happened to another guy who sold an amp on ebay. It's ****ing bullshit, but theres nothing you can really do. This is why I don't use paypal anymore, no seller protection & you pay fee's out the ***. You will have to pay off your negative balance, otherwise their collection agency is going to start calling your house. Try small claims or try the buyers local law enforcement. That is all I can suggest.

Same thing happened to me when I sold a rc truck motor. I sent him the motor brand new never seen fuel.....He get's it and 3 weeks later he reverses paypal and tells them the item wasn't as desrcibed.

He sends it back to me and it's been used dirt all over it and fuel all in it and around it. I tell paypal this and they do nothing for me.

I now resell it as used and when the second guy gets it he takes it apart and there is a huge gash on the pistion so he is pissed and reverses the charge on me (which I understand) and sends it back to me as well.

I just ended up trowing it awaycause I was tired of dealing with it.....lost all the money as well as shipping charges and paypal fee's.

why didnt i think of opening up a claim and then canceling it. would that protect me as a seller for sure?

Did you get a tracking number and/or delivery confirmation? Also, items that are over $250 require signature at delivery to protect the seller.

If you have proof of delivery and it wasn't an ebay transaction an "item not as described" chargeback won't win.

Dependent on what kind of payment method he used. As a seller, the buyer has to open the claim & cancel it. Although you could include this into your shipping instructions. Also, if it was paid for by a credit card, a claim/cancel will not stop a reverse. They can still call their credit card company up and have it reversed.
