Pawn stars.

Wow, where do all of you work?

Or hell, do you even have a job?

Obviously not in ANY retail shop.

If you make 40-50pts on something in retail (or a pawn shop) you are doing GREAT.

Say you are paid $15/hr for manual labor...how much is your employer being payed to have you out there working?

The world revolves around profit, can't make any, can't have a business.

lol, sorry man but I tell everyone I can...I feel like it's leading them on if they don't know. I don't know how I never figured it out considering the fact that there's a freaking disclaimer when the show starts that says the events are "based on real events". But yeah, once I found that out the show just got stupid. The acting is terrible, it wasn't bad when I thought they were just regular guys doing their job, but once I found out they were acting, it was like...ghey
Some of them are actual repo guys, but the big bald guy is a paid actor...which is why he keeps getting fired/rehired, it's just for drama.
In the beginning I thought it was ok, but the more I watched it, the more I realized how outrageous and over the top the episodes were. At that point I knew it had to be fake.

indeed...the episode where they repossessed the Delorean from the kid who danced like Michael Jackson should have been a dead giveaway...

that one was great. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Any time you 'sell' something to a pawn shop, you have to assume you will be receiving less money simply based on the convenience of having a buyer on the spot. All pawn shops work off this idea. A pawn shop isnt going to give you 80% of the value for an item, so it can sit on their shelves for, as an example, a year or two waiting for the right buyer looking to spend 100% of value on the item, just so they can make 20% (minus overhead).
good thing captain obvious is here.

dude, I freaking lol'd hard when he dropped that ball through the case...the chair part was funny as hell too.

You think his dad just eats the cost of the chair? Or do you think he made him pay for it? (same with chumlee and the ball?)

i actually like the show but the people who sell their shit on there are MORONS! they take half of what their stuff is worth, piss on that.
That's because they need the money quick. Something is only worth as much as the buyer will pay. The Pawn shops don't make money buying at full value. However, they have the cash to buy instantly.

found it on youtube

i like how they tell people, hey this is worth 2000 if i give u 2000 i wont make nothing. the old man said a few times if u be honest with people it will work its self out. i mean there is times where they could of got stuff on the cheap but they go head and bring in some one thats knows about what there about 2 buy.

After a few episodes, I kind of stopped watching regularly (I do watch reruns for hell of it) because I knew it is a complete bullshit.

No fuc-king way they would hire that huge woman and that woman is unprofessional.

I dont think you can repo any car in any sort of dress. she and the company is supposed to be in the uniform and represents the company well.

But instead I see that huge woman in a dress trying to repo a car and then causes stupid problems which shouldnt even happen at first place.

It is all acting but like I said I still watch the reruns for hell of it lol. Sometimes just for some good laugh.

BTW, what channel is pawn stars on? Never heard of this certain show before.
