i would never buy anything from a pawn shop. Thats worse than buying something from someone on the street corner. You have no clue who the original owner is and wether or not they abused the item or not. They are overprices,especially the ones around here, and the stuff they usually have is crap. I have tried to pawn some stereo equipment before tho with no success cause they wanted to give me 70 bucks for a 350 dollar cd player,i ended getting like 275 on ebay //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

a buddy of mine picked up a 12" XXX sealed box and some kenwood 1000 watts rms amp for 170 at our local pawn shop

id say thats a pretty good deal...plus he has no idea what its really worth so im thinking of offering him 220 or so..then i can resell and make some extra cash

I have bough almost every piece of equipment I have owned from a pawn shop. YOu win some, you lose some. Ive had some amazing buys, some horribe ones too.

pawn shops take timing too. Right at the end of the month, you can catch people standing in line to pawn stuff and get it then, or at least make an offer you know they won't get from the pawn guys

I've found that some shops focus on certain things too. some stereo, some tools, some lawn equipment.
