Passed Microsoft 70-290 Exam!

I'll have my Associates of Applied Science in Computer Networking in 2 weeks. Im just gonna stick with that and get my certs, see what comes my way. If I feel like I need to, I will go on to a Bachelors, but unfortunately my credits don't xfer to any other local colleges so I would basically have to re-start.
congrats, i have a very similar degree and just got my a plus cert. got a great job playing in active directory and novell console one all day now lol

Why focus on Server 2003 junk when Server 2008 is already out?

The Microsoft tests are crap anyways, just another way for them to make money. You'll learn more in real-world scenarios then you can ever learn from a study guide/test.

Also, if you can learn and get certified for IOS (Cisco) you'll make a helluva lot more money than you will with a Microsoft certification.

I have my MCSE (Server 2003, taken in 2004) and also have my CCIE. When I took the job I'm at now (Network Security Engineer) they were impressed with the CCIE but didn't even make a comment about the MCSE.

Congrats on passing and showing the desire to learn and further your knowledge, but don't jump on the Microsoft bandwagon just because everyone else is there.

All my MS tests were paid for, including the classroom teaching!! I paid for my A+ Net+ MSDST tests is all prior to my current job. like 09alti said, experience is where it's at. You're better off, imo getting a full degree, or getting some basic certs and getting hands on.
