Part of big 3 with 1 gauge?

Found out that the alt+ to battery+ is 1 gauge welding cable. The OD of the actual wire is .345. I can't change it out because my battery is located in the trunk, and I don't have the tools to even get to my alternator.

I'm running a SAZ 1500D at 1 ohm, and a ID Q700.2 at 4 ohms. The rest of my big 3 is done in 1/0, I have a 160a alt and an XS D3400. Will the 1 gauge be fine?

Welding cable, although smaller than most car audio wiring, usually has higher max amp ratings. You should be fine

You'll be fine. If you're going to have two different size wires on something the bigger should always be the grounds. The 1 gauge will handle that amp fine.

Whew thanks. It's actually a little thicker than Raptor 1/0 gauge which is good to know.

I know, but it makes me feel a little better lol. It's nothing compared to the Knu I have everywhere else.
