i personally i thought this was an amazing film for the low budget they had. the film was as real as it gets. most of the activity happens while they sleep. kinda hard to get used to the "shaking camera" though. but i liked it.

!!!!!!SPOILERS IN MY POST!!!! Skip my post if you dont want to know the ending.

it wasn't bad. The ending was kinda cool. Was not expecting it the ending. I was expecting the "Demon" to come in the room then go downstairs and film what "it" had done to them. I dug it.

Saw it tonight. Definitely was not 'scary'... However, everyone in my theatre thought so, and the guy giving commentary during the whole thing "o **** no don't open that door... oh **** no dont do that *****"

You know, the guy who talks out loud trying to be funny but eventually just gets told to shutup by people who didn't pay to listen to him. Yea he was there.

Back to the movie, I enjoyed the film as the film and respect the budget and the effects they pulled off, however it didn't have that real scare feel to it... Just kinda some intense moments that was odd.

Also I have some questions as there were some strange parts where stuff did not make sense...

How come when the guy saw the WIGI Board or whatever was burned, why did he not review the film to see it catch on fire etc... I mean seriously he just sat down with a pen and started writing when it was all on film? Dumb

Oh and what is up with her being a student and never going to school over the 20+ day span???????

And to add, the two main actors were good, but what is up with the doctor that comes to the home repeatedly, that was awful acting and they should have left that out or left it to phone convos.

All I have heard is how scary it is and how "A million ppl have said movies do not scare them but this one made them shit their pants"

And also how they have never went to see a movie twice in a row and this one they stayed in their seats to watch it a second time because it scarred them so bad?

They have a good Dvdscr online but it has the original ending. I watched most of the movie and it wasn't scary at all. I want to see the theatrical ending so I can compare the two myself. My buddy watched them and said the dvdscr ending sucked compared to the one in theaters.

I feel like the only people who say it sucked are the people who either (1) got caught up in the hype and had over expectations, or (2) have been too conditioned by the idiotic slasher horror films of the last 30 years to really appreciate a scary movie of this kind.

Ive seen most of the movies that usually end up on 'scariest ever' lists, and personally i thought this one really ranks up there. I don't believe in ghosts or anything, but if i watched this at night by myself, i would definitely feel a lot more uncomfortable in the dark than if i had watched the exorcist or the shining.

also, the original ending is better than the one in theaters btw

I assume he did review it. How else would he have known that the dial thing moved, and been able to try and figure out what letters it moved over?

He only came twice, and i didnt think the acting was that terrible. Seen much worse in movies with this level of budget.

It was weird though because she said she was so far behind that if she didn't do well on the midterm she would fail the class...

and the theatrical ending is WAY better than the dvd version i just saw both. The dvd version is more like what would happen (i guess?) versus the theatrical just being more scary
