Panasonic?

What do you guys think of panasonic for h/u's?

I have a pioneer DEH-P4600MP and I am kinda of thinkn about gettin a new head unit.

I was looking and found a Panasonic CQ-C8301U which doesnt look to bad for only $229.00 with free shipping.

Im just curious, not actually looking to buy quite yet untill I buy a sub amp and get my truck fixed.

But i was curious if panasonic was decent to buy.

should be in stock in a week, usually there crap isnt out of stock longer than that,, should save you like 15 bucks or so

a freind of mine has that deck, its decent the few backgrounds i saw were decent but it was more like a screensaver, you couldnt see the time of the song or the name while the pic was moving, but it may have been something that was set on there im not sure

I have that same hu and I love it. Sounds good, lot better than my old pioneer. Has a lot of really nice features. Looks awesome. but I got mine for 200 shipped from http://www.etronics.com. It's a good deck.

Panasonic decks are usually pretty good. My wife has one of the touch screen low end models in her car, never had any problems with it.

Panasonic makes touchscreen head units? You mean with the 7" screen or just the regular head unit like those JVC and clarion models (don't know the model number, but I'm sure you know what I mean....

Thats the one she has, Im sure theres updated models now. Not bad at all for $160 deck (what we paid on ebay). I had one, only got rid of it because I needed more features.

does anybody know of some reputable sites that still carry that model by any chance? Or does anybody know of a similar model panasonic or not that has touch controls for $200 or less I have seen some of that panasonic unit for sub 200 but didn't know if it was too good to be true, I love touch screens and must have one.

Im sure there is a better model than that for less than $200 now. We picked that up last june, so its been a year. You might try searching for Panasonic Ghost Face, thats their term for it. Nothing on ebay at the moment, but you never know what will turn up. Also, look at some jvc models, Im not sure what they call their touch screens.
