Panasonic or JVC?

I have been looking around at various places for a head unit to begin my neverending custom car quest. I have been looking and the two best HU's for the value seems to be:

1) Panasonic CQ-C511OU

2) JVC KDG700

Does anyone have any opinions on these two HU's or have any experiences they would like to share with the class? Thanks.

well the jvc cost more than the panasonic but u get what u pay 4, it has better features so i would go wit it

I really like the look of the panasonic as opposed to the JVC. I just feel like im stuck between a rock and a hard place. I know nothing about car audio, Im more of a performance guy, but w/e yall say. yall are the experts

i just got the jvc and i have to say, its would blow the panasonic away.......it is awesome it even has a motorized face.

both good products. jvc looks worse and not very much power or preouts. i own a jvc but not that model, sorry. go for the JVC if you want features, go with the panisonic if you want power and looks. i had the same prob when i picked my H/U. panisonic or JVC. i went with the jvc as you can tell

have you even see the jvc it looks good imo....and it has front and rear pre outs

JVC has much better sq. I have heard a few and they are very impressive.

i was told by a friend some time ago that jvc's better stuff was made by kenwood ....is there any truth to this?
