I was wondering what the general opinion of them (Panasoncic HU's) is. Im looking to get a new deck, looking at this one: http://www.millionbuy.com/pancqc8305u.html

What do you all think of it.

Opinions, suggestions welcome. If not, what other head units would you suggest (looking to spend between 200-250)

Looking for at least 3 sets of pre-outs (2 + sub) and a set of RCA inputs. 5.1 would be cool if it also had a sub output.

looking to order on Monday

Thanks

I've been sticking with panasonic since 2000. Hell, the unit I bought in '00, AND the unit I bought in '01 are both still working the same as the day I bought them. I had an Eclipse AV-8022 and a Premier 860 in the middle of all that, but I still rather the panasonics.

I liked the FM tuner on my Pioneer Premier a little better. SQ for CD's dosen't seem much different. One thing I don't like about the EQ on the model I have (CQ-C9701U) is that it dosen't have any effect on the sub pre-outs, only the front and rear pre-outs. Maybe theres a way around around this but I couldn't find a setting for it. I don't know if all models are like that. I do like the EQ though, 9 band semi-parametric with 5 custom presets. I've had it for about 7 months, so far I haven't had any problems develop.

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

One or two, they are still subwoofer outs and are mono summed signals from both left and right. Even the 2 RCA subwoofer pre-outs on the 2nd one...

There are a couple of options. You can use a marine bt unit. They come in the size of a hockey puck and can mount anywhere. This is the marine unit.

There are bluetooth amplifiers. You can just use your phone or an I Pod as the music source and not touch the radio.
