those are nice units, 9 band built in eq that even allows you to adjust the frequencies for each band. i had one of those but was the 9801w. sold it to get another 9701u so i could use xm. cant beat a high end pany for the money. i cant tell you the difference from the 9801u to the 9701u. have same features except for the w model didnt support xm. i just think they were made in different years. all i use is pany. have three of them in my cars. two 9701u's and an 8803u.

someone buy this, its a great deal. they still go on ebay for about 280+.
