Pair of these for 100 bucks

Holy Mother Of GOD. LOL. What did you do? Run across a crackhead?
I was thinking that too untill I met the guy he was normal drove a nice benz pretty clean, He bought the stuff back in the day from a friend of his that needed money and it just sat in his storage for years the amps came with the orignal documentation too. All of it worked so that was bonus!

ME JEALOUS!! I love the original solobarics.

i guess you could call that find some os goodness, but be careful..... when i first read the p-sheet, the first thing that poped in my head, was "that sounds like some 90's shiz"....then i scrolled to the bottom and saw "1994" yes, they do like larger sealed boxes, and are somewhat efficient, well pretty **** efficient within limits. 2 key things to look at and keep in mind- the coil is only 1" tall, and only has a 6mm x-max, as designed...... yours are nicely broke free of the 6mm x-max, by the sounds of it, which is a good thing. they are light-weight, low-mass moving parts. the down-sides..... respect the power. if you set them to pull 600watts at 8ohms, they will naturally pull a bit more. i have seen them burn up a few nice amps. just keep that in mind- they fair real nice set up to cheater amps. the coils don't like the heat well (reason behind the over-sized pole vent @600watts) what we liked to do with them, was throw them in a large sealed box in the trunk wit some poly on the back-wall to quiet any distrtion, let the x-mech break in to where yours is and throw in some dmx, dre, bone, etc.. if they sh1t the coils, just build them up to monsters, lol

pretty sure i still have one, or 2 layin around.... i know for sure i have one with a split cone. i remember one falling out the back of the pathfinder on the highway. put it back in and it played just fine. once we took it out of the box, the basket was streatched, lol... replaced it with a new(2000) cvr.... i still have a pair of new l7-15's from when they first came out

I have the 4 ohm models. Will they withstand 800 watts of clean power?? By the looks of the short coil and Xmax i'm kinda unsure of them. Maybe i should just ride them till they die and rebuild a couple of beasts. LOL. Maybe keep the dustcaps so they will still look retro. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

depends on the amp. yes, and no. just throw the power at it for a bit, and then feel the cone for heat. make sure the amp will handle lower resistance, too. i have had, and seen a few amps eaten by them

well , i have the 801S and it will handle low resistance i imagine. Its rated 800x1@4ohms but does a little more , i'm gonna guess around 1KW at 14 Volts. I have seen people run that series amp at 2 ohm bridged daily with no real problems except for a hotter than normal amp. Not on fire hot , just warmer than normal.
