Pair of new 15" L7's....?

Alright guys. For the bass I'm seeking, ya'll convinced me to get a pair of the new L7 15's.

Now here's a few things I need to know of the few things.

It says under their stats: Max size for ported box - 6.0 cubic feet

- So for the loud spl bass I'm trying to recieve, should I build my box to 12 cubic feet for the pair since I'll have plenty of room?

- Can't decide to run 2500 or 3000 watts to the pair? Their max is 4000

No way...your crazy! Your going to blow them. Give them 2,000rms and call it a day. They can't do 3,000watts. I take it as your new to this so let me explain some thing to you. Max and RMS are very different. RMS is what the subwoofer can take all day long with out blowing. MAX is what it can do at burps and most of them time its BS. I wouldn't burp two 15" L7s at 4,000rms. I would give them at the most 1,300rms for burps. The L7s RMS is 1,000. That means you should give them 2,000rms

This is actually a question a friend asked, so are you saying they 15" L7 cant handle 1200 watts daily, or it is not recommended? Again not dissagreeing with you just simply asking.

Aslong as the gains are set correctly It will be fine with 1200.

I say put them in a 8-9cu net box tuned 33-35hz put 2500 of clean watts to them orion 2500d,viper 2500 something along those lines and wang for days.
