Painting emblems

I have been thinking about painting the Mt. Fuji emblem and the G35 emblem a gloss black or black chrome. I was nearly done waxing my car and figured I'd pull a little on the "G" emblem and it snapped off instantly. I figured I'll just do the "35" and the Infiniti lettering while I was at it. Horrible cell phone pic but this is what it looks like.

Question here is, would a black chrome or gloss black emblem look better? Any tips on doing this? I have plenty of emblems (of other vehicles) that I can use to work on before I do the final product on the G. Just looking for suggestions. Thanks!

Gloss Black!! Black chrome wont look good on that pearl white //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif plus i just dont like how black chrome looks ;\

Lol paint the grill black to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif so it matches the rims. its gon look off a bit with black chrome and rims black.. but iuno thats my opinion=P

have a body shop paint it the same color as the car...just got the emblems back for my new car actually. Had the emblems matched on a previous car and it made a big difference imo. The only bad thing is, the paint chips off the scored chrome pretty easily

(old car) painted grill and emblem...

Na, I wouldn't paint the grill in the front, would look to plain.

do it to match the front grill mang. and your aftermarkets with a drop/more tire > stock wheels.
I would like for it to match the grill, that's my original intention. I'll more than likely be getting several different emblems and messing around with them and seeing what turns out to be the best...getting them for free and not all will be Infiniti one's, just to test.

As for the drop and larger tires, definitely what I want to do but I'm riding these tires till there's no more. I want a coilover kit, but it'll cost about a grand with install, which won't be for a while. I might just go with some lowering springs as long as the ride comfort is still good, and those will run me about $400 installed.

Eh, don't wanna do same as the car. I'm going for a black/white theme. Going to paint the corner lights black, and smoke the tail lights. Eventually I'll get black housed headlights and I may even get a black overlay for the roof, but I haven't decided on that quite yet.

I say debadge it completely.
The car would look too plain IMO. I've seen it on the coupe and it looks nice, but I don't think I could go for it with mine.

please get some wheels and a drop before doing any of that...you have a pretty sick car, dont rice it out.

lol

And here's a quick PS of no emblem
Looks weird. though i like the dual exhaust //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif too bad I can't do it, i'd need custom piping because of a stupid canister or whatever it is on the passenger side of the vehicle

I'm not gonna shave it clean, more specifically because some of the paint came off for the "G 35" part. Glad I was going to leave it on though.

As for painting, would I put a primer on it first? Would I wet sand first? Wet sand then primer? Or neither, just straight paint? Maybe some VHT Niteshades? I have 2 cans I never got to use from when I was going to do my Accord tail lights.
