so i'm looking to paint the calipers on my car and i know some of you had to of painted yours so i had some quick questions

um is it even that hard, some friends say it is and some say its a piece of cake....how long with the drying and ish does the whole thing take? and whats the best paint for them on the cheap.

pop your wheel off and clean the calipers with a good brake cleaner. let the cleaner dry and i would use an engine paint to paint them with(can handle the heat better).

you can use some cardboard to help the keep overspray off the rotors though it wont matter much as it will burn/rub off the first time you drive. allow atleast an hour for dry time.

FYI, when you are hanging your caliper during the process make sure you support it a zip tie or something. DONT let it just hang there via the brake line.

As many of others stated use a high temp paint or go buy a brake caliper paint kit.

i used Rustoleum BBQ Flat black for my rear brake drums.i haven't had any issues and i think the flat black looks better than using colors, like blue or red..
lol my calipers already look flat black with all the dirt and grim on them. but im going with red
