Mike

i love that first kit that ya put up.......

I think that's a bit out of his price range! Good choice though.

I disagree with what a few others are saying. Although their choices in guns are decent, my first gone was a 98 Custom and that's what I would strongly suggest. I got it for around $120 new and spent $50 on a few upgrades (yes, cheap upgrades) and found that my gun was more then legit for most paintball games.

Don't buy a barrel over 14" is exactly correct.

hey guys i need your help...im looking around because im looking for a folding stock im pretty sure im going to go with a 14" tear drop barrel, the spyder imagine, a automated ball hopper, and a upgraded tank can someone help me find some extras like the meter for the handle and what not but im really wanting to find a stock that would look decent cause i will end up laying down occasionaly in the game...

Mike

10-20 inch barrel means nothing in paintball. all that counts is the bore and the follow through barrel. When your getting a new Barrel set, get a 5-10 piece. I recommend an A3 paintball Barrel set. Extremely High Quality stuff.

you don;t need a drop because when you go Nitro it's different than CO2. Plus Drops are hella uncomfortable.

Get a Halo B or a eVolution II

Get a Regulater

Looks mean nothing for a good gun. Believe me, it's all about the player and how you corner, Barrel, the paint you use, PSI of your tank and expansion bay, and how well you can shoot.

All I have seen in here is bull$hit, 100%. No one truely seems to be an experienced player...

1. Get a Spyder Imagine, cant go wrong, best low end blow back marker for the price

2. Get a CP 1 Piece barrel, or a J&J Ceramics (both around $40), avoid Tear Drop and Progressive, they are not as good as the previously mentioned (by me)

3. A drop forward is not needed, it is preference, but IMO unbalances the gun and is a waste of money, but if you like it- get it

4. A regulator is not NEEDED, but is one of, if not the number one, upgrade you can get for a gun. If you are using Co2, get a Palmers Stabalizer, amazingly good with Co2

5. If you are getting an HPA tank (not nitro //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif ) then get a Crossfire, or Centerflag. Avoid PMI, Nitroduct (good but over priced), and 3A (BIG eBay paintball company, horrible reputation and horrible products). Centerflag and Crossfire have the highest recharge rates (Crossfire is number one)

6. If you are going to get an Imagine, or other marker with electronic trigger frame, get a ViewLoader Revvy. This is a good electronic hopper for a stock electronic board. IF you get a T board for the Imagine, then get an Egg II, or Halo B hopper

And to correct other users:

Barrel length does play a role in accuracy, it stabalizes the ball comming out of the chamber. However, bigger is not better. Over 16" is not needed, 14" is perfect in most cases, unless you are playing SpeedBall. Paint to Barrel match is essential for accuracy as well. You need to ask your paintball shop to let you see a couple paintballs, to put them in your barrel and see how they match your bore size. If they roll right out, they are too small, if they are so tight you can not blow them out manually, then are too big, they need to be the size where you would be able to comfortably blow and have the ball shoot out of the barrel.

Dragun marker DO NOT use the same eye as Angels. Dragun stock eyes are notorious for being horrible. Dragun is no longer in business by the way, and all of their marker designs have been bought by Odyssey.

The only blow back marker you should be looking at is a Spyder Imagine. They are amazing for the price. Do not get any other Spyder, all electronic frame Spyders contain the same internal parts and will essentially perform equally. Do not buy a mechacal Spyder, it is not worth it.

Any further questions, post or PM me.

To the rest of you, shut up unless you know what you are talking about... PWNED

You dont know your stuff, it is obvious from your idiotic posts. Do not inform in of anything further...

For instance, when you said "you dont need a drop because nitro is different than Co2", that makes no sense at all. The type of gas powering the marker has nothing to do with a drop forward. The purpose of a drop forward is to balance out the gun, but most find that it actually unbalances it when you properly position the marker, (with Co2 or HPA tank underneath of your armpit.)

Also, you reccomended an A3 product. That is rediculous. And a 5-10 piece barrel set, are you retarded? A3 makes the worst products in paintball. They actually had their company reps post reviews of their own products on PBreview.com, which is why all of their products are banned from that site now; as well as a couple others. And a one piece barrel is perfect for a beginner, if you are not going to compete, then using different barrel adaptors is not needed at all.

Also, the key to accuracy is not the barrel, it is your velocity, paint to barrel match, and your gas consistency (a good regulator.) You will have to keep your velocity to around 285fps, that is the key spot. Anything above that will cause horrible velocity and will leave un-needed welts on opponents (if you hit them.) And your barrel has NOTHING to do with your velocity (or fps as you put it in your first post.)

Anything else you would like to post for me to tear apart? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Get a A3 Barrel set, not all paint are the same size.

Palmers = High class stuff there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

get a 4500PSI tank with 40 cubes or get a fatty tank lol.

Oh yeah and o-rings... ...lots and lots of o-rings and gun oil. You'll regret not having any //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I am happy to talk paintball man...

That barrel is great for the price, get it.

The Stabalizer, there is others you CAN use, but that is also a great buy for the money. You could also get a Bob Long Torpedo, if you are getting an HPA tank.

As for that tank, not a good choice. ACI has low recharge rates, (the rate at which the tank regulator allows your to fire and remain consistan.) As I said, stick with Crossfire (best choice), or Centerflag. Stay away from ALL others, you will thank me..

how the hell are you saying A3 is crap? I've been using A3 barrel sets and gear for 2 years and it's pretty **** good in my opinion. I guess i was one of the lucky ones that got to there Ebay auctions before they stopped the ebay business.

And in my opinion a drop is worthless when your using HPA or nitro. But everyone has there preferences. You can't very well peek well with a drop as it get's in the way of my forearm and i don;t have the tank under my pit, i rest it on the Upper arm. It allows me to peek alot better and a drop will force me to raise the gun much more than it is needed.

You have your preferences and so do I, It's up to Nikos to decide what better for him.
