ok, my buddy got a Kicker ZX400.1 used and decided he didn't like the factory black paint on the top, So he rattle caned it. after we took the amp apart so there was no over spray on things we didn't want painted he finished with this:

I forgot to ask, does anyone have some RMS numbers from there birth sheets?

We wanted to know how much they put out on average since he doesn't have the original birth sheet to it..

I'd suggest taking the whole cover off, sand it down, and re-do it. Put a couple coats of clear on it too.

I stripped both of my Linear Power amps and rattle canned them crinkle black and baked the heat sinks in the oven for 30 minutes.

Worked like a champ.
