packing peanuts

i cannot believe this.

every single day I see something more ridiculous on these forums.

and i'm high, so that makes this 1000X funnier.

i love you all, honestly.

i filled a container that held 100 and it filled it about 1/4 way and rounded to about 2000. i figured someone knew some kinda formula or something for the diameter or whatever....i dunno i was bored //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Take the peanut...

Measure the W x L x H ( in inches )

divide by 1728

That gives you the volume of a peanut

NOW divide 1 by that number...

That gives you the amount of peanuts per cubic Foot

This is all assuming that you placed the peanuts in uniformly.

If they were not placed in uniformly then it +/-25 peanuts

Disclaimer-What i just said may or may not be true... it is the sold responsibility of the person measuring to determine the true number of peanuts per cubic foot. I am not responsible for any wrong answers

Take a cardboard box, measure the width, length and heigh, calculate the volume. Now fill it to the top with peanuts. Now you have the volume that the peanuts in there, now fill the sub box with the peanuts from the box, refill and repeat, and etc. counting how many times you filled it. Once it gets closed to being filled you can use a smaller box to make the measurements to be more exact.
