pac vs axxess

I was looking to see how much it would cost me for a steering wheel controls adapter for my car to install a hu. I've used pac in the past and had good results but came across the axxess one that is supposed to automatically program itself to the car and hu. Does anyone have experience with one that can say which one is better or does it matter?
