PA A2400DB Bench Test?

you need a clamp meter and a DMM to measure the output of the amp. Once you get these tools, let us know so we can further help ya. About my post (47rms @ .5ohms), i was just fvckin with u.....don't take it personally....

coolahan is right we just benched one at 12and high change were using 2 of them to push 2 15 type Rs
I am not sure how you tested this. But I did mine with a clamp (kole 2400d same amp) wired 1.33 ohm. with imp rise came out right to about 2.1 to 2.2 ohms . I clamped around 1040rms . So at 1 ohm I for sure could see this amp doing a MIN of 1500rms. now as far as 1800.... dunno for sure. but figure a solid 1500rms for 270ish and the amps are TOUGH. toughest amp i have used. Have dropped it on the concrete from my car. ran 6 subs off it. ... ran it .5 for daily for a while. And now it has water damage and still bumping strong. never has clipped . Hands down for the money I dont' believe there is a better amp

Dang I guess I dusted this one from the GRAVE oops lol
Glad you did //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Any guess as to what it would be putting out @ .5ohm? Same output as 1ohm perhaps?

Maybe. but the imp rise would fall closer to 1 ohm so you prob would get close to 1800watts rms. As I said I know people running them daily at .5 But any amp can eventually fail running it under the ohm it is designed for. Just best to keep it at rated ohm.

dont listen to the tards in here, i ran Two A3000DBs strapped @ .7 ohms ( .35 load at each amp ) for daily use and it worked fine and was loud as shit
not the same amp.

The 3000dB is very similar to the Opti2000D which was DESIGNED to operate at 1/2 ohm. What makes the 2kd stable at 1/2 and the PA not, I don't know, but saying the 2400 will run at 1/2 because the 3000 will isn't great advice imo.

Been running @ .5ohm daily for prolly 3 or 4 months now. No smoke quite yet and it doesn't get hot. Of course 4 months isn't a very long time so I'll let ya know when it goes capoot. first time i've ever used the word capoot...

so what do you all think the A3000DB can do at 4ohms?
true 4 ohm or wired 4 ohm. wired prob jumps to 5 to 6 ohms or higher depending on freq. I would guess if multiple freq tested maybe 600 watts. But that isn't really fair to rate the amp based on a 4 ohm test when it is meant to run 1
