Ozzie Guillen Is An Idiot!!!

Lol, I'm still pretty accurate and I haven't played in 7 years. I can still throw pretty hard according to all the 15-16 y/o's that played in the little league program I helped coach. Fastest pitcher they had was throwing mid 60's and they said I threw a lot harder than him. I'm guessing I can still break 70's. Used to hit mid 80's in high school. Mid 80's with accuracy FTW.

I play every year...with a group of Dominican kids (and a couple of Puerto Ricans //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif )

radar gun showed 80 mph when I was 18 (5'10" 130-135 lbs)

I have to go get clocked this year (Im 25 and around 160 lbs.)

5'7 135 lbs...86 was the fastest I ever got clocked at...consistently hitting 80-82.

25 years old now and 175 lbs.....If I started throwing consistently I bet with this extra weight and muscle I could come close to popping 90. Unfortunately I don't know anybody capable of catching the speed I throw right now.

I threw a slurve. My arm angle is just under 3/4. I threw a slurve, slider, knuckleball, and a splitter. I was working on a change up before I was kicked off hte team for fighting. Was going to get rid of the knuckler. I threw an awesome splitter though. It broke down and into right handed batters.

I started throwing over hand....but these past couple of years I have been throwing sidearm (which I feel more comfortable with)

that curve is not there anymore...but the slider is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I only had 3 pitches anyway (fast, curve, slider)

.....every other pitch I experimented with would either hit the batter or the batter would hit it out.

I could never throw a knuckler //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

but man oh man...I love that 12-6.

....how it starts from your chin and drops down towards the strike zone

The best 12-6 curves start at your waist and end at your ankles. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I just don't throw in the proper arm slot to be able to throw a 12-6

Ive seen those...

but you tend to lay off with the ones that start up high.....

You must have never played baseball. It's about sticking up for your teammate. Another pitcher hits your player twice, you send them a message and hit one of there players. That doesn't mean you throw at there head, you just hit them in the leg, or back. It's part of the game. As a pitcher if you are told to go out there and hit a batter, you better do it.
I agree in the sense that it is essentially the tradition of baseball to do so. No, it's not good sportsmanship, but I guess that's just how the game is played. And yes, the main spot for retaliation is either the inside shoulder/back and the butt...both of which are the least painful spots to get hit. The pain itself isn't really that bad, it's mainly a respect issue.

As for Ozzie, that was weak. The pitcher was obviously trying the hit the guy the first two pitches, but just missed. I usually respect the guy as a coach, but that was just horrible.

As a former pitcher...that rookie is a *****. Retaliation is a part of baseball, and I've been on the giving and recieving end of it.
Never been on the giving end...I've always been the one getting a nice fastball in the back. And to be honest, I'd let our pitcher miss a bit inside on the next guy for me.

Werd. Brushbacks are also a part of the game.
