As a former pitcher, let me explain. Once in a while, you lose control of a pitch and hit a batter, if you hit the same batter twice, you did it intentionally. Blalock had nothing to do with it, but you go after a batter on the other team, generally a good batter. If it caused a bench clearing brawl so be it. You don't understand the importance of the manager and pitcher sticking up for AJ. If you let that shit go, you as a pitcher or as a manager may lose some of the players trust and respect.Hitting another player....whats that going to do?
Clear the benches perhaps...make matters worse.
Blalock had nothing to do with the incident, and he was targeted.
I do not agree with this at all. Its not baseball.
AJ (most likely) was hit unintentionally. Dude is not even hitting well lately....
"Padilla hit the man because he wanted to hit the man," Guillen said. "Baseball people know. ... Maybe Padilla doesn't like him. .."
How does Guillen know that?
".. If you play against A.J., you hate him; if you play with him, you hate him less."
