I have an amp the new kenwood 05 kac 9152d mono channel 1800w max power

My type r 12 dual 2 is in a custom box with this sub putting 900w rms to it.

Well if i play it with full bass from the remote bass control it shuts of real quick you get maybe amin. out of it and then it auto protects how do i fix this. I meen i should be able to do max power without it shutting off right?

I love how you have it FS yet you are asking about why its going in to protect...

There's two major problems here:

1. User

2. It's a Kenwood

BUT if you still believe it shouldn't overheat, try a couple things. Mount it on 1/4 inch spacers so that airflow can get underneath the amp to cool it. Maybe use a couple fans in a push-pull pattern?

If all else fails... do the normal thing and turn down the ****ing gains.
