hello

i am gonna be getting another amp for my subs soon,but will it be allright if the amp is rated 1600 and my sub is rated 1500? cause right now i have a 1600 amp powering both of them but i need more power so will this be ok?

it depends on how it's setup.

and headroom is always good for upgrading in the future. just watch the gain.

yes. there's a formula to determine voltage for the rms you wanna give a sub (based on it's specs). sqrt(watts*ohms)

You're only looking at about 7% over the rated power and the amp isn't going to put out that much power anywhere near regularly with music. You have absolutely nothing to worry about as long as the enclosure is built right and the gains are set correctly.
