Whats up guys... it's been a while since I've closely followed the car audio scene but I'm looking to put together a new system this summer. I'd imagine you read plenty of threads like this, but... I'm not looking for anyone to do my design for me, just looking for some ideas and suggestions.
I'm working with about $2,000, willing to get up to ~$2,500 or so if it's worth the difference. SQL is my goal, and I listen mostly to hip hop and metal so I'm looking for something that'll hit hard and low, while maintaining it's punchiness and accuracy...
As far as the low end goes, 2x12's is probably my best bet with the space I've got (I drive an '03 Rendezvous) but I'm open to any ideas. Basically I'm curious, for someone who's been out of the loop for a while -- what would you guys do as far as a hard hitting, street beating but tight sounding setup goes within that budget? (given a little flexibility)
