Last time I checked, two of the people seated in that supreme court were because of Clinton's nominations... None from Bush yet.

I'm sure Bush will put in some moderate at best into the supreme court to make the opposing party happy and piss off his own party.

Although the weather has been nicer in my area since Bush has been in power there has been a lot of hurricanes. The way people are driving in my area has also gotten worse.

The court ruled that governments can seize private property and then turn it over to big-business interests for economic development........... in the case against Susette Kelo, the city of New London [...] said her property could be taken, not for public use, but to promote local economic growth by turning it over to developers for anything from strip malls to amusement parks.

Long story short; The gov't can come in and tell you (not give you the option, but tell you) that you need to move as they have seized your property (house) and plan to use it for almost anything they damned well please. If a developer wants your land/property (which your house is on) for "economic development" reasons (strip mall, etc) but you don't want to sell it, the gov't could take it from you and give it them.
