OT: How long does it take you to make a buying decision?

I've been hunting for new computer parts for like a month.

I used to buy things on a whim and got me in a lot of finical trouble. Now I am better, for the most part. I was car shopping a couple weeks ago because I thought I would need more room with the baby coming and well I went to like 6 dealerships with in a month and decided not to trade in my car for a newer one. The one I have is perfectly fine. I am kinda proud of myself, before I would just find something right away and then in a couple months be like, why oh why did I buy this POS!

took me about 2 minutes to decide to buy my 20.1, and once i had the money, it took my about 30 seconds to decide to buy my btl....................

unfortunatly, im completely broke right now.

my bank account just said OUCH!

Not really THAT expensive, lol I was gonna run some SE (2300 and 4200) now that would've really hurt my bank.

I normally do all my researching ahead of time. I know what I want/need ahead of time. Now the next thing is having money. When I have money, I get it right away/as soon as possible. Then when I don't have money, I have to wait till I get money to get what I already know what I want.

I personally just decide to buy stuff and buy it.... I dont even know if i put much thought into most of my purchases... As far as systems go i do plan them out on paper... But if i feel like buying something i just buy it... Thats how you end up with like 10 amps you arent using tho... you just call it a collection and sell off when you get too many....

If you have to think about it (as in the decision to buy) or you have to convince yourself why you should buy it longer then 5-10min. Chances are you shouldnt.
