Orion XTR Pro 2400

hmm... ill have to check but i think i still have my manuals laying around...ill let you know....

what exactly are you needing to know about the amp...i used to have 4 of them last year......

Just want to know how to get the most power out of it. Is it 1200w x 2 @ 2 ohms, 600 x 2 @ 2 ohms, or 2400 x 1? I was running 2 15" H2's in a sealed box built to spec, and it was quiet! Could hardly even hear it outside the car turned all the way up..,actually the rattles were louder than the bass. I had it wired like this: negative from amp to negative of voice coil, positive from same voice coil to negative of other voice coil, positive of that voice coil to the positive on amp, and same w/ the other channel. Is this right for 2400 watts? Sure didn't sound like 2400 watts even with the trunk open, maybe half of that.

these beasts are not 1 ohm stable so they say...but with good electrical you will be able to run 1 ohm daily and they will do .7 ohm burps and get some great power from them we clamped one of mine and got over 3000 rms @ 1ohm

Factory specs are: 1200@4ohm and 2400@2ohm rms..... now for the wiring that depends on what subs you have are they dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm subs? here is a link on how to wire them to achieve what ohm load you want going to the amp.....http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html

oh and on the channels on the amp it is 1 solid bar .....its a one channel amp both of them "channels" are really just one channel they put dual outputs on there for making it easier for you to wire up your subs.........and the intelli q on that amp is the bass boost but you really dont need it........ if you have any more questions feel free to pm me.......

Basically this is how they wired my amp at the shop, from "looking at the amp's speaker outputs point of view," and they are dual 2 ohm voice coils:

sub 1 sub 2 sub 1 sub 2

+ + - -

Is that correct for a 2 ohm load?

wire your subs both like this....

then to one of the "outputs" (either side dont matter) on the amp then you will have a 2 ohm load and just set the gains right and it should slam these amps are no slouch......

Ok, right now all "4" outputs are being used. The subs are wired the same internally, but they are individually wired the the outputs, so I'm not sure if that's the same thing (I think so). Thanks for the help.

No, well my amp blew shortly after I had it installed...then that caused my subs to blow!!! I recently got the amp back from repair, now I need to send the subs in. Then I guess I'll find out. I'm going to build a ported box in the mean time.

ahh.... it should slam with the ported enclosure...post up some pics when your finished...good luck...
