Orion H2 12.2 or diamond TDX 12D4

id say for this install since ur limited to such small airspace, id see what sub takes the least amount of airspace. tdx is amazing ive seen a 142 db from 1 12" tdx and an 800 watt ma audio monoblock amp. pretty impressive if u ask me. i know the h2s get loud as hell but id say just email or call each company or look on their sites and see what hte recommend airspace is for each sub and ya go from there cuase thats a rediciouldy small amount and sub sound like shit if their not in the right enclosure

juss buy lookin at a sub, u cant tell nuthin, u have 2 actually test and play wit the sub. so wha he is an engineer, i'd listen 2 someone w/ EXPERINCE than someone juss lookin at it
i agree, but off the record who is this directed towards

the following information is from the companies websites which means its accurate

diamond tdx 12" Vb (ft3) or cubic feet for your box is 1.0 - 2.0 (ft3)

this matches ur boxes very well, which would result in optimum performance,

orion h2 12" box for this sub asks for 2 different ones.. for 2,500 watts it is asking for a .55 (ft3) box , is it just me or does thsi sound ridicously small ????? but since u dont have anywhere near 2,500 watts lets look at the 2nd box. for 1,500 watts it wants a 1 (ft3) box and thats still way more watts than what u have, im gonna take a guess and say that that sub with ur amp which i belive u said is 900 watts would take about a 1.4 (ft3)

so i guess both subs specs are close to what u have but a h2's rms is 2,000 watts, thats alotta difference , its gonna hardly be moving at all , and i know it may sound like im favoring the tdx but only because i think itll do u more justice is ur application but let me know what u get , i hope i was helpful sumwhat

The Orion H2 does like power, but mainly when it's in a smaller box and especially the sealed one.

My current set up has the Orion inverted in 2.64 cubes tuned to 30 hz and only needs around 1000 watts (I had to turn my gains down when I changed to this bigger box on my 1200-1300 RMS amp). I can't say for sure, but I think a lot of peoples problems with the H2's came from misusing them - 2500 watts was rated by them for a mini sealed box. 1500 watts for a small ported. Most think it sounds best in a bigger ported box where it needs even less power.

Anyways I still haven't heard the Diamond so can't compare.

i never went by wha thye orion website said about the box specs for the sub. I tested and asked people who have used and had success wit dif type of enclosures and wha works best for the sub. and the H2 doesnt need much power 2 get loud. it'll take 2k, but only need around 1200 to get goin. it gets louder w/ more power. it likes smaller boxes:)
