Orion Cobalt 230 wont power on

I just hooked up an Orion Cobalt 230 to a JVC cd player, and the amp wont power on if the cd player is on and connected to the amp. if i unplug the cd player from the amp, or turn off the cd player, it will turn on. also, if i hook the amp to a different battery it will power on no problem. any ideas? its driving me crazy.

well it must be something with the h/u or RCA's. mess around with the RCA's and then mess around with the h/u's ground and just gotta mess around with things. i'm thinking it might be something wrong with the preouts on the cd player

the problem was that i wasn't even using the preouts, i was using the speaker outs. i changed it over to preout and works great now. thanks for the help. tomorrow im gona install a 15w x 2 jensen for the back speakers, right now you cant even hear the back speakers. :/
