Orion 8004 or Memphis MCA3004

I am looking for a 4 ch amp (75-100w/per) to power 6.5 rainbow SLC and 6x9's in the rear for around $300.

How are you liking our Orion? Looking at the spec, it not as impressive as some of the others in the same price range, particularly, SN = 85 dBA and THD rating is a little higher as well, both are on the low end.

I have the 3004 and it's bulletproof. Sounds great and I'm getting ready to bridge it to 2 channels for 230 watts per channel.

Now if it way an old Orion XTR 475 it would be a whole different story, but the new Orions don't even pique my interest. This is coming from a guy who has never used an amp that wasn't made by Orion. Memphis all the way. Woofers Etc. shows them in stock but they are a bit more expensive.

Where can you still find MC Models???? On that site? I thought they quit making them and went with sweatshop made garbage like orion..

If its an older MC or ST 3004, get it, those amps are the shit.

you can to a Hifonics Tiatan at 85X4 for 170 here or a brutus 85X4 for 239 here. Now I havent used the Titans but the Brutus work pretty nice. If you wanted to get real kinky you can do a XX-Jupiter at 75X4 here for 329 but that amp will go all the way to 1ohm 4 cahnnel and put out 140W a channel.
